The 42nd annual Carey Rose Winski Dance Scholarship Competition will be held October 20th, 2024. The competition is open to any dancer male or female between the ages of 13 and 18. Scholarships totaling $1500 or more are awarded. The winners’ scholarship money will be sent to the dance institutions of their choice to further their dance training.
Competitors participate in a one-hour classical warm up class and perform two three minute solos, one in classical ballet (en pointe for girls) and one in any eclectic style - Jazz, Modern, Character, etc…(no tap) without pointe shoes.
Dancers must bring two individual music CDs, one for the classical solo and one for the eclectic solo. These CDs should be reviewed to make sure that the sound quality and music is correct.
